In Paris attacks, no news of any Nepali casualty

Paris, November 16. As of now, there’s no report of any Nepali casualty in coordinated terror attacks in Paris that killed around 130 people.
After the attacks, the worst terror in Europe in a decade, France has imposed a state of emergency and police have told people not to leave their homes.
In a phone conversation, Nepal’s Ambassador to France, Ambika Poudel, said: As of now, I have not heard of any casualties. I am in constant contact with many Nepalis. They all have told me they are safe, along with their families. Several people have phoned us to convey that they and their families are safe.

Lapsan Gurung, who is with Tamu Samaj Paris, said they are safe and he has not received any news of any Nepali casualty in the attacks. Hari Sapkota, who is based in La Courneuve where there’s a sizeable presence of Nepalis, informed all Nepalis living there are safe.Former president of Nepali Solidarity Society, Tappa Bhandari, said he has not received any information about any Nepali casualty in the attacks. Some Nepalis had gone to the national stadium, a target of the attacks, to watch the day’s match. They also informed that they are safe, according to Bhandari.
